Brian Dodsworth Tournament – Saturday 12 May

Our six grass courts will open on Saturday, 12 May, with our traditional curtain-raiser, the Brian Dodsworth Tournament.

The mixed doubles event is open to EVERY adult member. The entry fee is £4 per person.

Enter as an individual (NOT AS A TEAM) and pairs will be organised for you!

NO entries will be accepted after Wednesday, 9 May.

Participants are required to arrive at 1:45 p.m. and be available to play from 2-6 p.m.

Prizes will be awarded to the leading man and lady.

Tournament format:

  • 5 rounds of eight games, with sudden death on the first deuce;
  • On sudden death, man serves to man, woman to woman;
  • In the event of a non-mixed game, then the receivers choose;
  • Tea to be served after the tournament.

Brian Dodsworth was a former chairman of the tennis section.
