Congratulations To Our Kent Champions

The women’s first team at Beckenham Lawn Tennis Club is Kent champions again!

Congratulations to Tracey Bunney, Catherine and Jacqueline Darby and Laura Thomas, who teamed up for a 4-0 victory over Tunbridge Wells’ first team in the 2014-15 Kent Slazenger Inter-Club Winter League Division 1 on 28 March.

The first team won all four of their winter league matches, including a 12-4 record in rubbers and 26-10 in sets.

There was also success for the mixed fourth team on 9 April when it defeated Brenchley and Matfield second team 3-1, under floodlights, in a Division 8 final that ended at 9:50pm.

Lastly, commiserations to our men’s vets first team, who lost by one set to Bromley Wendover in the Division 1 final on 19 April.
